July 7 Announcements
Looking for Saturday entertainment? We will be having “Saturday Matinee” in the social hall once a month on the second Saturday from 4-6. We will watch movies and discuss the spiritual practices demonstrated. Our first movie will be July 14th at 4 pm.
Midterm elections are coming up. As part of our seven principles, we support the democratic process and encourage you to get involved. However, the church cannot officially support any candidates or parties. As such if you would like to participate in political activism, or encourage others to do so, feel free to post flyers and such materials in the community section of the bulletin board.
The Open Door, a daytime drop-in center for the at-risk or homeless, needs donations of the following: boxed cereals, Styrofoam coffee cups, paper bowls and plates (large & small), bug spray, socks, boxers (large), bike locks, raincoats and bike lights. They are always in need of volunteers (someone to provide a meal, and/or monetary donations), as they survive by donations alone. There will be a box for your donations under the Quilt Table in the Narthex. Or you can take donations to The Open Door, 115 Citrus Ave., Eustis (Open Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm)
Help UUCLC get enough chairs for our growing congregation! We still need 6 more red chairs ($100 each) and 6 more black chairs ($25 each) to meet our goal and order the chairs. See the Giving Tree in the Social Hall to get donation form and envelope. Give donations and form to Stu Anderson, treasurer. Thank you for contributing to UUCLC.

Tai Chi originated in ancient China and today is practiced throughout the world as an effective exercise for better health. It consists of gentle, fluid movements that can be done standing or seated.
Qigong is also a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, and focused intent.
You don’t have to sign up; just show up.
